From Winter Wonderland to Gorgeous Spring

Here are a few pictures of my trip to Canada . There was a freak blizzard in the middle of April..CRAZY!!!  We stayed a day longer but we didn't mind:)
The girls and I squished in the back of Shannan and Josh's car ready or not for the 12 hour trip back to Utah! It was a really tight fit, if I was any bigger I wouldn't have fit back there! It's amazing what one will do just to visit family!! Shannan and I took turns sitting in the back with the girls. I usually don't like to be in the driver's seat for very long but for this trip, the driver's seat was the most comfortable place to be!!  Thanks to Josh (my brother-law; not to be confused with my husband:) for talking and keeping me awake!!

We came home to a beautiful Richmond Spring, Wow do I ever LOVE the spring here!! The morning after we arrived home, Lilli walked out the back door and was so surprised to see everything so green!! She said "Mommy, Mommy look at all the green stuff!!" Both of the girls had to run around the house to take it all in! Their favorite part was all of the flowers!!  It was so fun to watch their amazement and wonder, it was like they couldn't get enough!! That night I asked Lilli what her favorite part of "today" was, she replied "..all the green stuff!" So cute!!

Lilli's Princess Castle

When Lilli saw this building she called it her "Princess Castle." It is actually the Banff Springs Hotel (a gorgeous building inside and out!) We walked around the inside of the Hotel and after awhile Lilli asked where all the princesses were. I told her that they were all sleeping or getting ready for the ball.  She then decided that if there were no princesses in sight then we would all have to be the princesses, she then asked my sisters, mom, Izzy and I what princesses we wanted to be. She loved every minute of it. A princess with her very own castle:)

Izzy loved the "castle" also. Her favorite part were the stairs and running down the BIG hallways!

This past week I was very lucky to go and visit my family in Canada! Amber wanted everyone there for her birthday so she flew us out. The girls and I flew to Salt Lake City and then took the long car ride to Canada with my sister Shanny and Josh. It was wonderful to be able to be with family again. Josh had to stay behind because of school, we sure missed him!! It was really interesting, this was the fist time Izzy had been away from her Daddy for longer than a day.  She really clung to her Grandpa, she would go around saying "Papa,Papa." Grandpa didn't mind this at all, he loved it! We went to Banff and loved seeing all the mountains and the girls loved playing in the snow. We played endless hours of Settlers, and of course ate too much. So much fun!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMBER!!

The hiking in Banff is awesome. We only did a little hike but saw a beautiful waterfall and all the beautiful mountains. We discovered a little too late that Lilli's boots were too small (whoops). Her feet were hurting and cold but she was a good sport and finished the hike. She was even lucky enought to have her very own foot warmer-Grandpa. Izzy was a little slow going, but she stuck with Grandma and loved climbing the stairs. Wow do we ever love Grandma and Grandpa!!

The Monument 10K

I ran the Monument 10k! It was quite the race. There are 30,000 runners who come from all over the country, and raises money for cancer research.  You can run in memory of someone or in honor of someone. I ran for my sweet sister-in-law, Eliza Woodland a 2x cancer survivor! I admire her and her strength and for the amazing person she is! Josh was supposed to run, but hurt his knee so I ran with both of our time chips. Josh and the girls came out in the rain to support me, wow am I lucky to have such an awesome family:)
Here are my "trainers" my wonderful girls! I regularly run with the girls in the double stroller, at times Lilli isn't too fond of going for a run. When I would tell her I needed to practice for my race she would consent. Whenever a hill came along she would cheer me on "Go Mommy Go, Go Mommy Go!!" Too cute! Thanks to my two beautiful girls!!!

Easter Beauties

Lilli and Izzy were spoiled by our neighbours/Easter Bunny, I didn't even have to buy any candy, what can I say I scored! They were really excited about the eggs and couldn't wait to eat all the candy. Izzy didn't have any problem, before we knew it she had downed three chocolate eggs
What a gorgeous little one, Lilli loves to pose for the camera so of course her little sister has to do everything she does. We had two little models, lucky Mommy!

The girls are really excited about the new flowers that are blooming in our garden. Everyday Lilli and Izzy stop to smell the flowers and try to find new ones.
