Christmas 2009

Letters and treats for Santa
Christmas PJ's
The "Leavitt" production of the Navitity. Izzy as Mary, Daddy as Joseph, Brad as the Donkey, Shannan, Mommy and Amber as the Wisemen, Grandpa and Grandma as shepherds, Lilli as the Angel, and Lindsey as the Narrator.
"SANTA BABY"
Oh sweet angel of mine:)

Canadian Snow FUN!

The girls were so excited to play in the snow!! Since we don't get much in Richmond, they relish any time that they can play...so this was a much awaited day...and a perfect day, not to cold.
"Look Mom we built a snowman bigger than Daddy!"

My Mom and Dad bought a tree and then "planted" it their pasture so the girls and Josh and I went and "cut it down." And then we decorated it....of course the lights were the funnest part!

Inside the Polar Express

We got a roomette for the longest part of our trip, Chicago to Shelby = 27hrs. If you ever go on a train ride I highly reccoment a room. It is so nice to have a place to lie down, you have your privacy, and you get free meals (well you do pay extra for a room but you don't pay any extra to eat at the dining car restaurant) which by the way has amazing food. Josh actually had the best steak he's ever had on the train. Talmage loved having a place to take a nap...I did too:)
Lilli and Izzy's little cubby/bunk. They slept up there together and thought it was so cool to sleep on a bunk bed.
The Chicago Train Station all decked out for Christmas.
ALL ABOARD....yes they actually do say that:)

Johnny Rockets

We at Johnny Rockets at the Washington D.C train station. Pretty good but not as good as the one in Richmond.
Lilli had hot chocolate and spilled it all over herself. Nice start out to our 2 1/2 day journey. Thank goodness we had extra clothes. We felt like bag ladies carrying 7 carry on bags in our stroller. It was hard to take less and be "prepared" with enough stuff for 3 kids and 2 1/2 days.
The girls loved this display of a miniature train. The train station was really beautiful!!

Train Ride

This is the girls starting our adventure on the train from Richmond to Washington D.C to Chicago to Shelby Montana. So excited!! Lilli kept that jewel on her head the whole time! When we go to the Ashland stop Izzy asked if we were almost there......ummmm not quite:)
We were all really excited to go on the train! It was really nice to be able to move around and "explore the train!" Or the Polar Express as we told the girls:)
